I loved the way he ran across the street so fast with his short legs!

I know how it feels like to lose a dog. My dog, Shadow, succumbed to disease and my dad was forced to shoot him in the head to make Shadow's death quick. It was a painful sight but it was for the best.

Every dog that has become part of us will always be remembered, and they will remain a part of us.

How sad for Paulie to die this way. It's just unforgivable that the driver didn't even stop. I can see that your dog was very loved and his short life was a happy one.

I'm sorry for your loss.
I can't believe the person didn't even stop. No one can love or protect our pets like we can.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your family sounds like mine where our pets are family members. Sending hugs to you and yours.

I am so sorry. My dog died last winter at age 17, and even though we knew it was coming for a long time it was very difficult and I still miss him terribly. I'm sure that it's even worse when it comes as such a shock. The thing about dogs, though, is that they don't leave behind any bad memories, ever. In human relationships there are always ups and downs, phases that were wonderful and days you'd rather forget, but dogs don't leave behind anything but love.

We were so sad to hear about Paulie. I just can't believe that people can be that hurtful to not even stop! I just can't imagine. I know how much you all loved him. He was so sweet. My in-laws just had to have their cat of 14 years put down last week and they are heartbroken too. Hugs to you guys. We miss you. (we are in Atl for a while)
